About

I've spent five years as a software engineer. The bulk of it was one engagement: FedEx through Wipro, running several years without a handoff. Backend work — Spring Boot services on JMS, OAuth and SSO in front, four mobile apps that field staff use daily. Those apps reach thousands of FedEx locations. The job was less about greenfield launches than keeping production systems correct while requirements shifted.

I moved to the US in August 2024. Work authorization took time. Rather than wait it out on the sidelines, I ran the AI layer for Brilliant Prep — a live SAT/ACT prep platform — pro bono, and built Lumen plus the other projects in the GitHub org. Pro bono was intentional: real users, real failure modes, not a tutorial track.

What I keep coming back to in AI work is the part the model does not do. Typed contracts between components. Durable state you can inspect. Evaluation harnesses that run before you trust a prompt change. Tests that catch a regression in validation logic before a user hits a bad query. The model is a component; the system around it is still software engineering.

Looking for senior engineering roles on AI applications, infrastructure, or platform teams. Work authorized as of May 2026 on H4 EAD — no sponsorship required. Open to remote, Dallas-area hybrid, or relocation.
